The Whisper of Woe is the weapon of Elenwath Dusksinger. It was once wielded by the legendary Eltharion Dwarvenkin, an ancestor of Elenwath.
The Whisper of Woe was made to combat goblinoids, and deal extra damage to such creatures. In addition, it can unleash a fireball three times a day, and ignores all types of armour - even magical.
History[]
Whisper of Woe was forged in Menethorn around 97 AI, and was presented to Eltharion Dwarvenkin when he passed into adulthood. He carried the weapon for the rest of his life. At this time, it was made solely to combat goblinoids.
It was reforged in 405 AI by the grateful dwarves of Deependelve, who added the abilities to unleash fireballs and ignore armour.
When Eltharion died in 1,213 AI, Whisper of Woe was laid down beside him in his tomb in Tol Cirlan. It lay there until 2,271 AI, when Elenwath Dusksinger, 29 years old, entered the tomb and took up the sword with the blessing of the spirit of Eltharion.
