Extremely light and flexible, but with perfect resilience, Vasin has a vast number of applications. Neither a true metal nor a glass, Vasin has been used by elven boyers to make powerful bows but the value of this material makes this impractical in most situations.
Probably its most famous application, the thinner sheets of vasin resemble the finest white paper, but glossier, and it is even more durable. When exposed to extreme heat it does tend to melt. Some of the most valuable and ancient books are inscribed upon pages of vasin, often using reaan, especially if they are tomes of magic. This enchanted "paper" has been known to last for tens of thousands of years, in perfect condition.
Its value is approximately 100 gillad/ounce.
